Soledad O'Brien was playing for her own foundation which helps young people help pay for college, daycare, etc. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was playing for his foundation too, it helps disadvantage youth through programs like sports.

~Soledad found the third daily double. She bet $3,000. The question was: My Latin teacher often reminded me that the name of this month comes from the term when flowers open. The answer was April and she got it right.
~ The topic of Final Jeopardy was Biblical Names. The question was: Trees with biblical names include the Joshua tree and the world's oldest tree, a 4,700 year old Pine named for him. Kareem answered Methuselah and was right. He wagered $4,400 and ended up with $8,800. Soledad answered Moses and was wrong. She wagered $1,000 and ended up with $6,200. Michael answered Methuselah and was right. He wagered $7,400 and ended up with $24,800. Michael won $50,000 for his charity and a spot in the semi-finals. Soledad and Kareem both won $25,000 for their charities.
